I Srinivas Rao, has experience in Oil Industry for over 30 years and has held responsible positions in Marketing of Petroleum Products, both in Retail and Direct business.
His previous experience includes working as Joint Director in Oil Coordination Committee (an apex body of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas) for about 4 years.
He was a member of the R-Group Committee working on the Restructuring of Hydrocarbon Sector in India, a member in planning retail strategy in India with Shell and several other working groups including the committee working on dismantling of the Administered Pricing Mechanism (APM) for petroleum products and involved with the development of Regulations and policies in the downstream hydrocarbon sector.
Presently he is holding responsibilities as Executive Director (Gas) in BPCL and is also on the Boards of other Joint Ventures of BPCL in the areas of City Gas Distribution and Natural Gas Pipelines. He has participated in various discussions for LNG sourcing to India and looks after the overall gas marketing in BPCL.
He holds Master’s Degree from Osmania University and in Management Studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. He has also completed a course in Retail Marketing from Oxford Institute of Petroleum Studies, UK.
